The metaverse development company that hands you the platform

For teams that need an immersive experience shipped — not another vendor dependency. We design and build it, then hand over the platform your team runs it on.

Most agencies leave you with a file. We leave you with a platform.

The standard XR engagement ends with a handoff: a custom application, a maintenance quote, and a dependency. Every content update goes back through the agency at agency rates. We build differently. Your experience runs on our platform, and at handover you get the platform — not just the file.

What that means in practice:

Your team edits without us. The same no-code editor we built in, in their hands, with training.
Your brand, your domain. Platform identity, branding, and custom landing pages are yours to configure.
Your users, your roles. Define access tiers and permissions for your own audience.
Your revenue, if you want it. Create subscription or one-time products, set your price and currency, connect your payment processor, and sell access to your own users.
Your capacity, tuned. Concurrent users, microphones, cameras, screen shares, storage, projects, and workspaces are all set to what your audience actually need

This is what Metaverse as a Service means here: not a maintenance contract, but the infrastructure to run what we built as your own product.

How We Work

From brief to live

01

Scope

A working session, not a discovery phase. We map the use case, the audience, the success metric, and the date — and tell you if XR is the wrong tool for it. We say that more often than you'd expect.

02

Design

Environment design, brand integration, interaction planning. You review a walkable draft in your browser, not a slide deck of concepts.

03

Build

Our team produces the assets, builds the environment, and wires in the integrations. You watch it come together in a private staging environment.

04

Launch

We publish, support the live day, and stay through it — with full analytics and a session summary when it's over.

05

Handover

We transfer the platform, train the team that runs it next, and step back. Your next activation doesn't need a new statement of work.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions

What is a metaverse development company?

A metaverse development company designs and builds immersive 3D environments — virtual venues, training simulations, branded worlds — for organizations without in-house XR teams. Next Reality Digital builds on its own platform, so clients receive the finished experience and the platform to operate it, rather than a file they can't maintain.

What is Metaverse as a Service (MaaS)?

Metaverse as a Service is a model where the platform behind an immersive experience — hosting, editor, user management, analytics, and billing — is provided as an ongoing service rather than a one-time build. With NRD, that means your own branded platform: your users, your access roles, your priced products, and your payment processor.

What devices do your experiences run on?

All of them, through the browser. Experiences run on desktop, laptop, mobile, and tablet, with VR headset support built in and gamepad, touch, keyboard, and mouse controls handled natively. Nothing to download, nothing to install.

How long does a custom XR project take?

Most builds go from brief to live in weeks rather than months, because we build on an existing platform instead of engineering one per project. Branded activations and event environments move fastest; large custom asset libraries and deep integrations extend the timeline.

Who owns what you build?

You own your content, your 3D assets, and your brand materials. NRD provides the platform they run on, licensed to you — so your team edits and extends the work without coming back to us for every change.

Can you use our existing 3D models?

Yes. GLB, GLTF, and OBJ files import directly — the standard export path from CAD, architectural, and 3D design tools, and the native output of AI 3D generation tools. Images, video, audio, and PDFs work as in-world media.

Can you run events in more than one language?

Yes. Environments are delivered in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and dedicated AI agents translate chat in real time during a live session, transcribe it, and summarize it afterward. Attendees speaking different languages share the same room.

What's the difference between XR Agency and the XR Platform?

XR Platform is self-serve: your team builds in the editor on a subscription. XR Agency is done-for-you: our team designs and builds the experience, then hands over the same platform so you can run it. Most agency clients continue on the platform afterward.

How much does custom XR development cost?

Cost depends on environment complexity, custom 3D asset volume, integrations, and the audience capacity you need. Engagements are structured as a fixed project fee plus an ongoing platform subscription, or as a monthly retainer for continuous programs. A scoping call produces a firm number.
